Al Meera Supermarket

NM Architects, in collaboration with MIGG Enterprises, was commissioned by one of Qatar’s largest retailers, Al Meera Supermarkets, to develop the design for several sites of their new outlets locally. Hazm Al Markhiya—Al Meera Supermarket, the first built, was one of the largest sites of this store chain. It included an interior mall and an adjacent retail building, the Ponderosa. Along the main façade, a large canopy system was implemented for reasons of necessity, allowing us to also highlight the main entrance of the building. In addition, the service yard was set at a separate area, screened from the parking lot. Moreover, the entire indoor space of the retail building was fully renovated as well.
