Hard Rock Cafe Dubai

Hard Rock Cafe Dubai is located just off the Business Bay Crossing, at Festival Centre in Dubai Festival City, one of the city’s premier shopping malls. Just minutes away from Dubai International Airport, Dubai Festival City sits on the edge of Dubai Creek, on the Deira side of the city. Although once only a small fishing port, today Dubai is home to the world’s tallest buildings and many five star hotels and resorts.

In collaboration with MIGG Enterprises, we were commissioned to design Dubai Hard Rock Café, set inside the existing mall. The Café was designed to display trademark Hard Rock Memorabilia, featured on ultra-high ceilings.

Moreover, in order to offer access through a direct entrance from street level to the second floor of the mall, we created the “Pod”, a building extension including the Rock shop and reception, connecting both with the café. The design proposal was inspired primarily by the industrial nature of the site. At this point, the challenge was to also infuse the Hard Rock brand employing new and innovative methods.

Therefore, Indoor spaces were separated into several zones, such as the bar, the café, the stage, and the retail store and lounge, which were further split on various levels. Separating these zones was very important; the Café, for instance, had to still operate not only as an all-day family restaurant, but also as a high-energy bar lounge, and a prime venue for live bands to perform. Hard Rock Café Dubai, offers over 2,900 sq.m of space, featuring two Rock Shops®, a stage for live performances, a private VIP-function room, a separate lounge, and a beautiful outdoor terrace. Whether looking to savour a romantic cocktail or party with friends, we’ve created a perfect spot for everyone to enjoy!
